Numerous disadvantaged youngsters in the Kalamazoo community had a chance to play soccer last fall thanks to the newly created Kingdom Kids organization. Designed to give underserved children in the Kalamazoo community a chance to play youth sports, such as soccer, flag football, lacrosse, and baseball, Kingdom Kids offers a way to introduce them to sports, build confidence and help them stay active and healthy.

Through contributions from the community and additional outside funding, Kingdom Kids hopes to expand and reach out to more young people this year and we would greatly appreciate your support of this growing program. In these difficult economic times the financial needs of the families in our community have never been greater.

Kingdom Kids – created in the summer of 2009 -- helps fund player participation in classes, camps, youth leagues, and the Kingdom Soccer Club. This non-profit organization was established to help families with financial limitations provide their children with the benefits of organized sports. Through a partnership with the City of Kalamazoo, over 40 disadvantaged children each season have had a chance to play soccer since the program first began in 2009. The program was financed through the foundation with little or no cost to the players and their families. This first venture was such a huge success that a majority of the children continued to play indoor at Kingdom Indoor Center with Kingdom Kids covering 50-75% of their fee. It is our goal to expand and continue this program each year offering this opportunity to the disadvantaged youth of Kalamazoo.

Help us to get more young players out on the fields – kids who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to play. They’ll have fun, develop new skills, and learn the benefits of exercise, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Your generous tax deductible donation will score big with these children! Thank you!
